Cocido con Pelotas Festival in Torrevieja | Tradition, Gastronomy and Mediterranean Lifestyle

On 31st May, we had the pleasure of attending a wonderful event organised by Cárnicas Ríos, celebrating one of the most traditional dishes from the province of Alicante: the famous Cocido con Pelotas.

This fantastic celebration brought together local residents and international visitors to enjoy outstanding food, a friendly atmosphere and the authentic Mediterranean lifestyle of the Costa Blanca.

A true taste of local tradition

The event featured excellent organisation and introduced visitors to a special version of the famous meatballs prepared with artichokes, showcasing the creativity and culinary heritage of the region.

Events like this perfectly represent the Mediterranean lifestyle enjoyed by residents of Orihuela Costa and Torrevieja: more than 300 days of sunshine every year, outstanding gastronomy, local traditions and an exceptional quality of life.
